It was 10 o’clock on a Saturday morning (10/11) when I approached Pak Rizaldi Boer and asked if I could interview him.  He was one of the speakers, invited by Oxfam Yogyakarta, at “Disaster Risk Reduction and the Mass Media Training” recently on 9-11 November 2007 in Bali.  Still looking enthusiastic even though he had been talking for almost 1.5 hours, he agreed to see me. 

After we found a place to sit, we ordered two cups of cappuccinos and started the interview. (more…)

Hari minggu (11/11) itu masih pagi benar. Waktu masih menunjukan pukul 07.00  ketika Presiden RI, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono melepas kontigen kampanye Bicycle for earth goes to Bali di lapangan Monas, Jakarta.  Dalam pidato pelepasan, Presiden RI menyatakan bahwa kampanye bersepeda menuju Bali ini adalah dalam rangka menyelamatkan bumi kita.  “Bumi kita akan dapat diselamatkan, karena sepeda tidak mengotori udara. Makin banyak bersepeda, udara kita makin bersih.  Selamatkan masa depan kita.”  (more…)
