Oh yea, I can remember clearly how HOT it was that Sunday. As long as live, never had I experienced this kinda heat. It was beyond imagination, even close to Saudi Arabia last time I lived there. Nonetheless I had a really great time in Rawa Buaya.
Imelda, did you remember back in primary school when all of the students MUST attended the Girls’ Scout club? I was just being young and stupid due to the fact that I hate it so much. You know when you just want to be popular and cool in school right? And girl’s scout is just so far from that image.
Surprisingly, being in Rawa Buaya (which literally means: Crocodiles’ Swamp) that Sunday made me realized that I was wrong all this time. I even realized more how I must change my stupid thoughts. All those things we have learnt when we were kids were actually useful in real life and could give you the chance to save lives.
You know what Imelda? I think we should remind this to all the youngsters and pump up their spirits. Our country is a HYPERMARKET of Disasters (like what Johnny of Tagana organisation said). Sadly but true, if it’s not the natural disasters then it’s gotta be human-made disasters. I hate to admit it but I think I also contributed to the human-made disasters just for being IGNORANT all this long.

Remember what we also discussed that day, if we were not part of Oxfam, we will never realize how important it is to look after our environment. I guess we are both really lucky to be able to see closely the impact of disasters in Indonesia.
Lets all start together to be more sensitive to this planet called EARTH!
